Merging PDFs is one of the most common document tasks in any office or classroom: you have invoices, scanned forms, chapters, or signed contracts spread across several files, and you need them in a single, ordered document. Our free Merge PDF tool joins any number of PDF files into one clean output while preserving the original page quality, fonts, and embedded images.
Unlike many online mergers, every step here happens locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, which means sensitive documents — bank statements, medical records, legal agreements — stay entirely on your own device. Drag your files in, set the order, and download the merged PDF in one click.
There is no limit on how many PDFs you can combine, and no account required. Once the merge is complete, you can run the result through the Compress PDF tool if you need a smaller file for email or an upload portal.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
No. You can combine as many PDF files as your device's memory allows. Because processing happens locally, very large batches depend on your computer's available RAM rather than any server quota.
Will merging reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied byte-for-byte into the new document, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution. Merging does not re-compress or rasterise your content.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The entire merge runs inside your browser using the open-source pdf-lib engine. Your documents are never transmitted to MagicApps or any third party.
How do I control the order of pages in the merged file?
Drag the file cards in the tool to arrange them in the exact sequence you want before clicking Merge. The pages from each file are combined in the order they appear in your file list.
What should I do if a source file is password-protected?
Unlock it first using the Unlock PDF tool, then add the unlocked version to the merge. Attempting to merge a locked PDF will produce an error or an empty section in the output.
